The charter notebook

What your Monaco yacht charter quote should include.

A coastal day, a week aboard and a quayside event cannot be compared by one starting rate. Begin with the date, the number of guests and the intended use. A Grand Prix hospitality request adds berth and access questions that do not belong to a normal day-cruising quote.

Inside the yacht dossier

Compare the same plan

A useful comparison holds the date, duration and services steady while the yachts change. If one offer includes a meal or fuel and another leaves it open, ask for clarification before treating the lower figure as better value. Cabin configuration and permitted event or cruising guests are also part of what is being purchased.

Review the contracting provider, payment schedule and conditions for cancellation or weather changes before committing. An enquiry is free of booking commitment; acceptance of a proposal follows the actual provider’s written process. No yacht, berth or event position is held merely by sending the form.

Bring the shore and sea costs together

Ask the proposal to identify the yacht, crew, duration, starting point and route outline. Fuel, delivery from another Riviera base, berths, tender transfers, catering and event services should have clear treatment. A yacht offered for Monaco is not necessarily based in Monaco, so delivery can matter to the comparison.

Where an advance expense allowance or separate operating account applies, request its purpose, authorisation process and reconciliation terms. Applicable taxes must be explained in the specific offer. We do not assume a percentage or publish a rate without a confirmed vessel and arrangement.

Before guests arrive in Monaco

Does this enquiry secure a yacht?

It opens a discussion about your visit. Confirmation follows agreement on an identified yacht, its availability, the complete price and the booking conditions.

Which Monaco meeting point should we give guests?

Wait for the boarding instructions in the proposal. Port Hercule, Fontvieille and a nearby departure are different arrangements; an exact meeting point and any tender transfer need to be settled before guest travel.

What belongs in the price breakdown?

Ask the provider to name the yacht, crew, charter hours and included service. Fuel, catering, port charges and any delivery should each have a clear treatment in the offer.

How firm is the coastal programme?

The captain assesses the yacht, conditions and applicable rules. Keep fixed shore appointments visible in the brief, and agree how weather-related changes or cancellation affect the contract before booking.

Can we choose from the journal photographs?

The images illustrate a style or model. Before deciding, examine photographs and the specification of the actual yacht proposed for your dates.
