Sanlorenzo SD118 yacht charter for a Monaco stay

Upper-deck asymmetry is the SD118’s distinctive architectural choice: the lounge uses its two sides differently. For Monaco, compare that shared space with the suite arrangement and the balance between a port visit and a longer coastal cruise.

The visit and its shore arrangements

Separate the harbour occasion from the cruise

A stay alongside during a Monaco event has different needs from an active coastal charter. Shore access, guest arrival times and the permitted service arrangement become central at a berth. During a cruise, comfortable seating, sea conditions and the time required for the passage shape the experience instead.

Choose which programme is the priority before combining them. If the yacht will cruise towards Beaulieu or farther along the Riviera, guests need a clear departure and return schedule. If it is primarily a venue, identify the exact berth and access arrangements without assuming that the model's size secures either.

Inside the yacht dossier

The upper deck has different sides for a reason

On the SD118, the upper deck retains a walkway to port while the starboard side uses a wider enclosed arrangement. This asymmetry gives the lounge a different relationship to its surroundings. It should not be confused with the main-deck asymmetry of the SL120, which applies the idea to another part of the yacht.

For Monaco guests, the useful question is how the upper lounge and adjacent outside space will be used together. An indoor conversation and a gathering on the terrace can form two parts of the same occasion. Compare the actual furniture and door positions to see whether the flow suits a seated meal, an informal reception or a quiet evening.

Private rooms support a longer programme

The manufacturer's reference gives ten guest berths, with separate crew accommodation, on a model measuring 35.75 metres overall and 7.90 metres in beam. A documented charter example has a main-deck principal suite and four guest doubles below. That is evidence of one arrangement, rather than a guarantee that every SD118 is fitted identically.

For a Monaco-based stay, the main suite can matter when the principal guests have a different schedule from the rest of the party. The lower bedrooms still deserve individual review. Similar bed labels do not necessarily mean identical room size, storage or bathroom access.

A substantial yacht still benefits from a simple day

The SD118 provides several settings, so a private lunch followed by time at a suitable stop can be enough to make a complete outing. Trying to add many shore visits may prevent the party from enjoying the spaces that distinguish the yacht. The captain can develop the route around the chosen emphasis and conditions.

Our illustration represents the model, not the research vessel or current availability. The proposal confirms the actual hull, equipment, certified guests and costs. Accommodation figures and generous decks do not independently establish permission for a larger dockside event.
